The Crowned Blossom

This piece was born from a moment in Spring 2025 — a cherry tree in full bloom, so densely petalled it looked more like a rose bush in disguise.

Painted in thick, layered impasto, each blossom is sculpted in creamy pinks and soft whites against a bright sky-blue backdrop. Rich brown branches weave across the canvas, grounding the dreamlike petals in something strong and real.

There’s an emotional weight to the softness — joy mixed with awe, like nature showing off just a little.
